About Me

I was born and raised in Bulgaria, a small country next to Greece. My hometown is near Sofia the capital of Bulgaria. In my hometown, people work during the week and on the weekends they spend most of their time doing farm work. My family is one of those people, therefore our tradition is that after a long workday, we would give massages each other.

My father was the one who taught us how to give good massages on the floor and ever since, massage became part of my life.

After graduating from High School, and serving one year in the military I was accepted into the University with a Chemical Engineering major. This was not my passion and after a while, I realized that what my father taught me was what I wanted to do in life.

I entered the National Sports Academy with a major in Massage Therapy and finally felt fulfilled and satisfied with my life. I was taught by experienced teachers who have traveled all over the world seeking different massage techniques.

In 2003 I arrived in the United States and graduated from a Massage Therapy School in Chicago and soon began to work as a Massage Therapist.

In 2008 I had the honor to graduate from a program for “Mayo Pain Trigger Point Therapy” directed by Sharon Sauer.

Now I still practice and develop my massage style without forgetting what my father taught me when I was a little child.

I consider my style to be similar to Thai Massage. I truly believe that my life and skills are a gift from God, and I want to use them as long as I live.

Thank you for taking the time to visit, I hope you enjoyed your stay! If you would like to contact me, I’d love to hear from you!

Sincerely, Ivo, LMT,MTPT Massage & Myofascial trigger point therapy
